On October 2, 2010, Don Launer will be inducted into the Barnegat Bay Sailing Hall of Fame in ceremonies at the Ocean County College, Toms River, NJ.
Outstanding sailors who earned their sea legs on the Barnegat Bay will have their names entered into the Barnegat Bay Sailing Hall of Fame. Nine inductees will be recognized at the Barnegat Bay Sailing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, October 2, at 6:00 p.m. on Ocean County College’s Main Campus, College Drive, in Toms River. Proceeds from the Induction Ceremony will support the OCC Sailing Club.
The Barnegat Bay Sailing Hall of Fame promotes the area’s maritime heritage by recognizing individuals whose accomplishments on the water and/or on shore have significantly enhanced Barnegat Bay’s maritime character and strengthened its status as a maritime center.
